What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with any champagne house or grower, with the Comité Champagne, with Reims Cathedral, with the tourist offices of Reims or Épernay, or with any of the places these tours stop at.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is the platform's own, and we keep it only where the tour's figures support it: a Top rated badge stays only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, so the platform's badge on a 4.8 day from Paris is not shown. Some operators sell several different days, and each appears on its own because each is separately bookable and priced.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different days, one from each starting town: a day from Paris with a house, a grower, the cathedral and lunch; a half day with two family growers from Reims station; and an e-bike day with lunch from Épernay.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 18 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every tour fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. The fares are per person, and most private days need two people. Two are priced per group: the jeep ride from Épernay, for up to three, and Royal Journey's private car, for up to four.

The house prices we print are in euros, as each house publishes them on its own visit page. Facts about the appellation and the 2026 harvest come from the Comité Champagne (champagne.fr) and the Union des Maisons de Champagne, the World Heritage listings from UNESCO, the cathedral's hours from its two official sites, the Reims offices' hours from Reims Tourisme, and the climate normals from Météo-France. Where a detail comes from an operator's listing, such as a meeting point, a group size or a stop, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

Taittinger's visit prices. The house lists its tasting experiences but no price we could read; check its booking page.
A drive time between Reims and Épernay. It depends on the route each operator takes. We print only the Épernay tourist office's distance, 27 km, and its 30 minutes by train.
Train times beyond three. We print Reims Tourisme's 45 minutes from Paris to Reims, Moët & Chandon's 80 minutes to Épernay and the Épernay tourist office's 30 minutes between the two towns; check SNCF for your own date.
The Reims Christmas market's 2026 dates. Reims Tourisme had published only the 2025 dates when we checked.
Sunshine and wind figures. The Météo-France vineyard station whose normals we print publishes neither.
The Épernay tourist office's hours. Ask the office by telephone.
Listing claims the official sources contradict. One listing dates Reims Cathedral to the 5th century BC, where UNESCO describes a 13th-century Gothic masterpiece; several call Hautvillers' abbey a stop, where the abbey buildings are private and only the village and its church are visited. Neither is repeated.
