Champagne France Tour Prices: What a Tour Costs in 2026
A champagne tour costs anything from $51 for an hour's tasting to $1,990 for a private car. This guide sets every band side by side for 2026, says what each fare buys, and shows what the same day costs if you book the houses yourself. Every figure is the fare shown at the time of writing, in US dollars. For the Champagne France ticket prices alone, start with the table.
How much does a champagne tour cost?
| Format | What it costs | Length | Who pours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tasting in central Reims | $51 per person | 1 hour | A sommelier, 3 glasses |
| Open-top bus from Épernay | from $105 per person | 1 h 30 or 2 h 15 | 3 tastings on board |
| Jeep in the vines | $234 per jeep of up to 3 | 2 h 15 | A tasting in the vines |
| Grower half day from Reims | $140 to $152 per person | About 4 hours | 2 family growers, 6 glasses |
| Shared full day | $228 to $386 per person | 5 h 30 to about 8 hours | Growers, or a house and growers |
| Day from Paris | $263 to $400 per person | 10 to 11 hours | A house and a smaller producer |
| Private half day from Épernay | $298 to $333 per person | 3 h 30 | Grand Cru or Premier Cru champagnes |
| Private full day | $525 to $848 per person | 8 to 9 hours | The houses and growers you ask for |
What moves the price is not the length. It is where you start and who pours: a day that puts a famous house's cellars in the fare costs more than one that keeps to family growers.
What does a half day cost?
From $140 to $152 per person from the Reims station square. That buys about four hours in a van for eight, two family growers and six glasses. The morning and Sparkling Tour's half day cost $140; the afternoon costs $152, with half an hour in Hautvillers village.
In Épernay the half days are private: $298 to $333 per person, two people at least, with Grand Cru or Premier Cru champagnes and tastes of ratafia, fine and marc.
What does a full day from Reims or Épernay cost?
A shared full day costs $228 to $386 per person. At the bottom are the e-bike days, $228 with lunch and four glasses. Sparkling Tour's three growers cost $280 with lunch and nine champagnes; the Mumm day $292; the Veuve Clicquot day $386, with nine glasses and lunch.
The price climbs with the house. A named big house adds its own visit to the fare, and lunch adds the rest. Wine Tours Paris' day, $245, and Uncork's Pommery day, $291, leave lunch for you to buy.
What does a day from Paris cost?
$263 to $400 per person for a small group, and $848 per person for a private car. The day with the cathedral and a three-course lunch, GO GO Tours' day trip, costs $400; Blue Fox Travel's day, with six glasses and no lunch, costs $263.
About four hours of the day are on the road. The TGV to Reims takes about 45 minutes, so a train and a Reims tour leave you more time in the cellars; add the rail fare to the Reims prices before you compare.
What does going private add?
A private full day costs $525 to $848 per person. You pay for pickup at your hotel or station, your party alone, and the houses you ask for. Uncork's Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot days sit at $525; Royal Journey France's two famous houses with lunch at $848.
Most private days need two people. For a couple on Sparkling Tour's three growers, that is $1,159 in all.
Per person or per group?
Per person on almost every tour, private ones included. The exceptions are priced per group. The jeep from Épernay costs $234 for up to three people, about $78 each when it is full. Royal Journey France's LOVER tour costs $1,990 for a car of up to four, about $497 each for a full car.
So a family of three pays least per head on the jeep, and a group of four comes close to a shared-day price on the private car.
What is in the fare, and what is not?
- Always in: the tastings, the guide and the transport on the route.
- Lunch: in the fare on the Mumm, Veuve Clicquot and e-bike days, Sparkling Tour's full days and most private days. Not on the half days, the bus, the jeep or the city tasting.
- Hotel pickup: on the private days, the hotel-pickup days from Paris and Uncork's Pommery day.
- Never in: tips. No listing includes them, and they are optional.
- Sometimes out: water. The Épernay e-bike day leaves it out, so carry a bottle.
What does a house visit cost on your own?
EUR 20 to EUR 90 a head. Nicolas Feuillatte's shortest tour costs EUR 20, Mercier's EUR 25, Mumm's Cordon Rouge EUR 30, Lanson EUR 32, Veuve Clicquot EUR 36, Moët & Chandon and Pommery EUR 48, and Ruinart EUR 90. Taittinger sells its visits on its own site.
Two houses in a day therefore cost EUR 45 to EUR 138 before the train. A tour costs more because it adds the growers, the driving and, often, lunch. Our guide to visiting by train without a tour works through that day.
Which fares are non-refundable?
À La Française's private growers day with lunch, $661 per person, and the walk between three Épernay houses, $632, cannot be refunded once booked. Every other fare refunds in full if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
Watch for a minimum as well. À La Française's shared tours need two people to run, and My Winedays may cancel below four; either way you are offered another date or a full refund.
What does each glass cost?
| Tour | Fare | Glasses | Per glass |
|---|---|---|---|
| City tasting, Reims | $51 | 3 | $17 |
| Sparkling Tour, half day | $140 | 6 | $23 |
| Afternoon with two growers | $152 | 6 | $25 |
| Blue Fox Travel, from Paris | $263 | 6 | $43 |
| Mumm day with lunch | $292 | 7 | $41 |
| Sparkling Tour, three growers | $280 | 9 | $31 |
| Veuve Clicquot day with lunch | $386 | 9 | $42 |
| Sparkling Tour, private day | $579 | 10 | $57 |
The grower half days pour the cheapest glass of any tour into the vineyards. A private day pours more champagne but charges for the car and the time as well.
Do children pay less?
At the houses, often. Ruinart charges EUR 50 for ages 7 to 17 and nothing under 7. Lanson charges EUR 20 for ages 13 to 17 and EUR 15 for 7 to 12. Mercier charges EUR 12 for ages 10 to 17. The cathedral towers are free under 18, and the wine museum is free under 13.
On the tours, the fares shown are adult fares, and several days take adults only: Sparkling Tour's days, the e-bike days and the city tasting. Nobody under 18 is served alcohol on any of them.
Does a higher fare buy a better-rated day?
Not by itself. The morning grower half day costs $140 and holds 4.9 from 193 reviews. Sparkling Tour's three growers cost $280 and hold 5.0 from 257. France Intense's private Moët & Chandon day costs $631 and holds 4.5 from 10.
What a higher fare buys is privacy, a named house and lunch. Decide which of those you want, then read the reviews for that one.
How to pay less
- Take a half day, not a full one. The growers are the same kind of producer, at about half the price.
- Take the train, not the Paris day. The TGV to Reims takes about 45 minutes; the tours from the station square start at $140.
- Fill the jeep. Three people pay one fare.
- Book one house yourself. Add a EUR 25 to EUR 48 visit to a half day and you have both a house and the growers.
