The 9:35 am start on the Avenue de Champagne
Meet your guide in front of the Office de Tourisme d'Épernay en Champagne, 7 avenue de Champagne, 51200 Épernay, at 9:35 am. Épernay station is under ten minutes away on foot, and the direct train from Paris Gare de l'Est takes about 1 hour 20 minutes, so an early train can get you there in time. There is no hotel pickup.
One rider found the street number hard to place on a phone map, and the operator's phone line helped. If you are unsure, walk up the Avenue from the town centre and look for the tourist office's sign. The day ends back in Épernay.
Know before you go
- You need to be fit. The operator asks for a strong fitness level, even with the electric assist.
- Minimum height 155 cm. The bikes are not recommended for riders under 5 ft 1 in.
